On January 10, 2024, we continued our IMAGE Wellness Series with its second monthly virtual event. This month we focused on the in-home vaccine programs offered to those in our area whose health or access needs require them to receive their COVID and flu vaccines in their homes. Our own Keyonna Mayo shared information with us about Harford County’s program, and we were joined by Arielle Fincham of the Baltimore City Health Department, who gave us some insights into the program she coordinates. Thanks to those who joined us live and participated in the Q&A! For those who weren’t able to join us, here’s a summary of the hour.
Baltimore City
Arielle Fincham encouraged all Baltimore residents aged 18 and older who wish to receive their vaccine at their homes to register for the program. Caregivers who work in the home are also eligible. Here’s how to register, directly from their flyer:
Register By Phone
Register by calling their hotline from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at 443-984-8650
Register Online
Register online by going to their website and filling out our brief form at covax.baltimorecity.gov.
Once you have registered, the program team will contact you within 7 to 10 days to schedule your appointment. For questions, contact Arielle Fincham at arielle.fincham@baltimorecity.gov.
Harford County
We then turned our attention to Harford County, where residents can also get their vaccines from the comfort of their homes. Much like Baltimore City, a resident who wants to receive their vaccine in-home should contact the local Health Department and register for the program. The point of contact for this area is Kimberly Proutt, who can be reached at kimberly.proutt@maryland.gov or (410) 838-1500.
As always, we welcome your thoughts and ideas on our Wellness Series. If you’d like to contact our team, email Chris at cnusbaum@imagemd.org or Keyonna at kmayo@imagemd.org. We look forward to seeing you at our next Wellness Series event; stay tuned for information on that!
